Ser. n. 37.937, http://data.onb.ac.at/rec/AL00050251): Title: ”Logisch-Philosophische Abhandlung” [so-called ”Gmunden Typescript”] • Date: Estimated date Summer 1918 • Language: German • Size and binding: 59 loose sheets of 284 x 222 mm • Pagination and sequence: Pagination 1-53 typed on the top, centered; page 18 followed by pages 19a and 19; two versions of pages 42 • Writing instrument: Typewriter; folio 10a handwritten in pencil (see Comment) • Provenance: G.H. von Wright saw this typescript 1952 in Gmunden, then missing. It was found in the estate of Rudolf Koder in 1992 and purchased by ÖNB in 2004 • Comment: On the title page (page Ir), crossed out: "XVII. Neuwaldeggstrasse 38 III. Untere Viaduktgasse 4, bei Frau Wanicek". Below the title, in Wittgenstein's hand: "Das Druckmanuskript befindet sich bei Russell doch ist im Notfall auch dieses zu drucken." Ts-202 seems to be a carbon copy of Ts-204 (except for pages Ir-Iv, IIr, IIIr, 9r, 42r). Many handwritten corrections in ink pencil by Wittgenstein (see Graßhoff/Lampert 2004: p.15). The typescript includes a handwritten leave page 10a (containing numbers 3.31(end) to 3.411) in Ludwig Hänsel’s hand. The explanation is that Hermine, in preparing a copy of the Logisch-Philosophische Abhandlung for Frege, came across a page missing in Ts-204 and asked Ludwig - staying in war prison in Monte Casino at that time - by letter to send a copy of the missing part (cf. her letter of 10.01.1919). Hänsel – with Wittgenstein in the prisoner camp in Monte Cassino – obviously wrote that copy and sent it to Hermine (see Graßhoff /Lampert 2004: p.19 and p.101)
