to the visual sensation I am now having.
Aren't we inclined to think that this is a statement making
sense & being true?
And on the other hand, isn't it a pseudo statement?
But what (what entity) do you mean (refer to), when you say
that sentence? –
Aren't we here up against the old difficulty that it seems to us
that meaning something was a special state or activity of
mind?
For it is
true that
saying these words I am in a special state of mind, I stare at something,
– but this
just doesn't constitute meaning.
